I hope they will fix this the next days.
I was quite sure that I get a free upgrade for Suite 8, since I upgraded Live7 to Suite 7 an February 26th.
Now my account shows that I have to pay some hundred €s again.
Just for those who want to look it up again here is the upgrade path table:

Fear not. I called the service line (1-646-205-9568 in the US, +49 30 288 763-231 rest of the world), and they updated my account to give me access to the no-cost upgrade. Talked to a nice guy with an Irish accent.

Thanks for the tipp. I talked to the same guy (irish accent

) and he solved all problems asap.
As he told me the system cannot "see" if one have upgraded during the grace period or not.
I am off exploring 8!

Which is why I checked Berlin time first thing this morning and called before getting my morning coffee.
It's the Weekend (aka Wochenende) in Berlin, they're all having a few Berliner Pils and getting ready to stay up all night at Berghain or Tresor or Watergate. It's a requirement of working at Ableton!

I just got off the phone with the US support line. The dude was really cool, and I had my serials in 3-4 minutes. Awesome.

same here, looks like you can still get in touch with the US side until 3pm today. I called US tech support and they transferred me through to a guy who added the serials to my product list.

Seems to me they shouldn't have a problem doing such - as they had automated emails go out announcing the Live 8 release with a message at the very top - Since you uprgraded to Suite 7, you are eligable for the free upgrade to 8 - click here to do such.
It's all good with me though, I sent them an email and will continue to use it in demo mode until they get everything figured out with my cd-key. Thank god for demo mode.

I just went to the website and there still is no free upgrade option. I bought Live 7 on march 10th 2009 with the understanding that I would get a free upgrade as soon as it was available, otherwise I would have just waited. Ableton is really not being attentive to these issues, step up to the plate
