most mixing desks have insert points for sticking external devices directly into the signal chain... the insert point is usually a TRS jack... an insert cable is usually a Y-cable with a TRS jack on one end (which plugs into the desk), and two TS jacks on the other end... you plug the TS jacks into the input and output of your external device, e.g. a compressor or whatever...slatepipe wrote: mint. cheers. it sort of makes sense. though my 10+ year habit of plug it in and see what happens will be hard to break. and i am bewildered about the using it as an insert thing you said

Balanced from things that can be run balanced, though I only notice the low amount of background his when the moog is off, that thing has a LOUD fan!
