weird thing..

glitchrock-buddha thanks for your nice efforts!
would it be possible for you to post a fresh active link?

thanks!
I will soon for sure. I've been crazy swamped with work and only check this forum away from my house and keep forgetting to repost but I will soon.

zid, can you please send a support request to novation and report the bug. They say they can't reproduce it, but there are many of us who get this bug, so they need to know it. thanks.

Hi, I'd really like a fresh link also, your templates sound great :-)

If I could divert the topic slightly, has anyone here encountered a bug whereby Live 8 lists the Automapped components under the incorrect 'folder' (I say 'folder' because it has how Live presents the Audio Units, but components don't get stored in folders like VSTs do)?

For example, all my u-he, SPL and a load of other plugs are listed under 'LennarDigital'!

This doesn't happen in Live 7.

Thanks guys,

Alex

Ah shit, I forgot that this link was dead. I've been going back and forth with Novation support, doing tests over and over again. I can reproduce the jumping parameter bug 100% of the time in automap 3.1 by simply moving two controls at the same time on any plug-in. When I stop moving them, one of the controls jumps to a different position. 100% of the time. Novation can't reproduce it. I don't f'n understand why they can't reproduce something that I can reproduce every damn time. I've even midi monitored and they don't see anything unusual.

Anyways, I've reinstalled 3.0 yet again and I'll update the link this weekend.

Me too! So you're moving one knob and a completely different one jumps right? That only happens part of the time though. I'm sure it's the same bug. It's just that it happens 100% of the time when you move two parameters at the same time.

If you are getting this bug, you must send a support request to Novation. A few people have told me they get this behavior, and some have even told me that they've reported it, but Novation have told me a few times now that they have not received a single other report about this bug. So go and report it please!

Yes, I intend to report it, I just wish I had something more concrete to report. It's very intermittent in my case so I can't give conditions to reproduce it every time.

Like I said, try moving two controls at the same time, from min to max or vice versa, and then let go. For me, I see one of those jump every single time. If you can reproduce that, then it's good to report.

Yeah that seems to induce the problem but often times that's not even necessary. I have contacted support. Let's see if they tell me the same as they told you...

this has happened to me, except that everything is in the "green Oak Software" folder, all automapped au's appear there, dont know why and it hasn't affected performance.

I used to get the same problem with au's. You never know where the automap versions will show up. Often the green oak folder. My stylus rmx (non automap version) also shows up in the green oak folder. Anyways, I use vst versions now which let's you organiE however you want, including the vst versions.

Ok. I'll finally update the link when I get off the can.
