Just remember to select the midi track in live that you want to be jamming on...
Its also a good mute/solo/switch pad if you jam with live on the fly.
Highly recommended as a present dood...

Giddy Up
Yea I saw that to, the DJ has like 2 MPC16's linedup for there one shots. They look pretty nice so I think im gonna get one.AdamJay wrote:Is there any way to use the MPD16 with Live 4 in an MPC-esque fashion?
Could you assign the Pads to sounds (via midi) in Impulse and record the live drum programming to midi?
My girlfriend and i were just watching some live linkin park concert on tv, and she saw the plethora of MPC16's they use. It reminded her of when she first moved in and i was using an MPC about 2 years ago. I'd wake her up writing music in the middle of the night making music, but it wasn't from the sound coming from the speakers, i was using the headphones. She could hear me banging away on my MPC2000XL's pads at 4am. ha! Anyways she asked if the MPD16 would make a good gift for me, and that kind of depends on what i can do with them in Live.
i cant seem to route the triggers of impulse sounds to keys or midi... maybe theres another way to do it?
so is this possible? if so, could someone explain it?
