I think it might have been skream but i'm not sure. I remember reading about the debut album being made entirely with software and how it was a big crossover record for dubstep. That seems to fit with skream but according to the wiki he uses both hard and software.

burial uses soundforge only

excision only uses cubase

benga only FL

lots of others use only FL

but really you are hard pressed to find a hardware junky in dubstep, if there is hardware its either a midi controller or rackmount compressors and eq's

Inspirational. Its funny because he's got some of the most wonderfully polished sounding beats.

No doubt. Its crazy too, Ive seen a couple pictures of his studio and it looks like he doesn't use an interface, just 1/8th inch out on his macbook.
