+1, for what it's worth. Critical stuff. Ideally with an adjustable buffer. Heck, make it 10 minutes long. I swear I'll use it that far back.

I made a "Retrospective Record" VST plugin.
It can remember what you did 10 minutes ago
Here it is:
Marty.zip. (the name comes from
Back to the future
)
Unzip and put it in your VstPlugins folder (single Marty.dll file, 144 KB).
[*] GUI : it has no GUI
[*] parameter 1 ("Go back!") : when OFF = 0, it constantly and silently records what's happening. When ON = 1, it plays (in loop) what has been recorded before
[*] parameter 2 (Tape length) : allows to set the duration, 10 sec, 1 minute, 5 minutes (default) or 10 minutes

needed it last night working with 2 others on a minimal house track.
a short excerpt from the scene:
guy1: " hey!! whatever you just did, do it again!"
me: "OK"
shortly thereafter....
Guy2: " nah, whatver youre doing now, its not what you were doing before"
me : " I NEED RETROSPECTIVE RECORD"
The End. (NOT)

I agree. My best ideas always come when I'm jamming aimlessly.
