It made me realise that to get it sounding exactly right I need to do a lot of editing, moving stuff around till it all fits. APC will be great if I finally get one, for spontaneous stuff but editing is king. Hence me buying a bigger screen.

I'm not saying I don't want one, it doesn't matter what I want, I got the money ready to go but, they're nowhere to be had!!! (believe me I've tried). Second consideration is, I just tried Tom Cosm's method for glichy basslines this is something I've been trying to do with splitting the bassline over multiple instruments, but rendering it to audio is easier.

Just bought one of these http://www.metaldetecting.com/html/mine ... elite.html
Figured it would help me find an APC somewhere!
Also gives me a great excuse to get outta the house once in a while!

"The people's music that glorifies the state and elevates the mind emanates from locally produced traditional instruments!
It does not rely on electronics designed by flawed capitalist-imperialist war-mongering nations like Japan."

Is that using the Button one? You can move which set of clips the buttons launch can't you? Or am I wrong?ollyb303 wrote:Yeah, the matrix is great and the only thing that really tempts me, but I can launch any clip using my foxes anyway!

No, I don't have that one - 2 of the endless rotary push encoders on one of my LV2s are set to 1) move clip focus up and down - push to start selected clip and 2) move clip focus left and right - push to stop selected clip... I can only launch one clip at a time this way but I usually set my quantise to 4 bars for my live set so I can actually trigger several in that time, or I just use scenes!joe.cavers wrote:Is that using the Button one? WOAH that's a major revalation, I had no idea you could map MIDI controls to move the clip focus! Can you do that on any controller or just the faderfoxes?ollyb303 wrote:

Whoah... for studio programming you could slow the tempo down, race around do all the triggering, then set the tempo back to normal... gotta try this with my Nocturn...ollyb303 wrote: 1) move clip focus up and down - push to start selected clip and 2) move clip focus left and right - push to stop selected clip...
