dumbass.
Just another evidence of incapacity from a person which only reads the subject line instead of tracking the whole topic. Hush never changed nor antagonised a blemish in the past. If you think so stay hushed and don't try to administer me orally nor try to affront me!
oh, ive read the whole thread. nonetheless you are telling people that its out.
so yeah, way to go dumbass.

that the copy protection causes more cpu consumption is absolute nonsense.
live checks its integrity most likely at startup and then either runs fine or gives you the authorization or copy protection violation message.
why should it check the whole time? and even if it would, checksum checks work quick, and do not use much cpu..

Open the taskmanager whilst Live is running without playback and any devices with only one audio track i.e. the most economical way to run Live. Live creates frequent cpu spikes about 2-3%...(144 Mhz in my case). No other application I own creates cpu spikes only by monitoring it (Automap, CueMix FX, Sony Soundforge). Therefore I ask myself what the hell is Live doing without touching it and without any vst in it
djsynchro wrote:So what are you saying? You bought Live but the cracked version is lighter on your CPU?
No, I only ask myself why to protect Live with the whole online stuff which causes me a lot of troubles if it can be cracked by people who don't even own the source code?
@friend_kami: Not everybody out there is a dickhead like you who needs me to tell him that Live bootlegs are out... Welcome to civilisation caveman

it seems to me that we've learned two very important things here.
1. that reflective7511 doesn't like it when Kami is holding up a mirror to his face and
2. that Kami is definitely not a friend to everyone. Hmmmmmmm
I smell a conspiracy

:
open a web browser and do nothing.. it will spike too..
this is not the copy protection, this is maybe ram allocation or graphics drawing or driver communication or simply an open midi port that is asking for timestamps.
what ever it is, load a plugin in a track and do nothing. it will spike even higher. and this is probably not because it has a harder time to check the copy protection.

When the copy protection is as intrusive as Cubase SX3 which dongle calls during idle moments, and sometimes even during playback (recording thankfully is spared) and can hit the CPU as much as 11%, then you have a point. Steinberg have reduced that substantially since C4 (and ditto C5) to mostly being at boot time and if the computer is idle for more than 2 minutes.
As for pirates - in most cases, before too long the program will timebomb - so don't worry, you're much better off downloading the demo as at least you will get 2 weeks of (fairly) stable operation, instead of something that could timebomb the second you make a samplerate change or works, but has reduced functionality (as most warezed software rarely gives you 100% functionality anyway).

We also learned that are people on this forum which only leaves a lot of bullshit instaed of being helpful. Maybe for a lack of education, accumulation or simply caused by their social standing...
I'm out of here proud of starting one of the most observed thread this day! I'm looking forward to get that much advertency with my next subject line. Thanks a lot dudes you made my day!

Mmmm, a lame misinformed post that devolved into a quasi-troll exit. Nice one.
