well, that's what I thought! But it seems it crossed the mind of others...

as for how, I guess cheating would mean using other samples. But wouldn't that take away the fun of doing this contest in the first place?
And besides, I think the kick turned out okay, but the snare isn't that great imo.

Like any loser, I'd just like to say that it was the taking part that was the main thing. After I'd heard the other entries, I knew I didn't stand a chance anyway...

I'm interested in how someone can fix the phpBB polls though - I really don't think anyone has 90+ aliases on here - I tried logging out, deleting cache, logging in, etc, but didn't seem to let me ever vote twice - different IP, maybe? - purely in the interests of research you understand, not to fix the next poll in my favour of course...

It crossed my mind, but not becasue I really think people bother cheating but maybe misunderstood the 'rules' or somethign and used another sample innocently by mistake. However, like I said, I liked it!

Post up your set, w could learn some sound design tips form them drumz fo sho!

Folks, I put my set up on the Ableton Share - any comments at all as to where I could've tweaked it to make it clearer and punchier, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm super late to the game.........I really loved the idea of the competition but only had a chance to actually work on something the last two days. I didn't want to post anything but I'm so fucking amazed at what Ableton can do...I had to show my pals on ze forum. I can't believe I could make these awesome ass synths with a sample, especially a sample that has nothing to do with a synth!
