Excellent!
Since the issue with the Wacom Tablet got fixed in 0.4, and I realized that it was possible to hand over keyboard input to VST Plug-ins via the options.txt, Live has become a dream of an App.
The only issue I had, was that with 0.4 the tablet didn't work with the Sampler instrument, but that has been fixed in this release. Great!
Now, if only the problem with
Slur, Slide, Glide, Tie; whatever it is that's wrong would get fixed, then everything would be very close to perfect for me.
The same goes for Native Instruments, the quality of their products has reached a level where they are really usable.
Seems to be a good place for music software up there in Berlin, as SoundCloud is also having a good takeoff.

Oh, right, that install took forever... over an hour...

ok, it forced me to reinstall all those live packs and it froze on me. Then i restarted the system and it wouldn't complete the livepack updates. What should i do in terms of repair. Other than that this software works great on windows 7 x64 without the redraw problems like 8.0.4 so far....knocks on wood.

When installing 805 I got asked to replace;
Library\Samples\Components\Utility\Silent.aif.asd
I'm sure it makes no odds but i made a copy of the file then allowed the installer to replace.
No probs so far.
And Utility works fine.

After installing 8.0.5, I noticed the APC-40 LED's got all screwed up on my mappings. For example, I'd remapped the pans & sends in top left to other functions, and used to just tap the pan/send a/send b/send c/ button to switch effects bank. Being the awesome controller it is, the APC40 would then show the LED in the right position so I could easily see what the setting was. That's gone now. When I tap to page to another effect, it leaves the LED in place, and twisting the knob produces unexpected and unwanted results.
Having similar trouble with LED's in device controls. Had some controls mapped that should have shown a single LED pointing north to show me 0, then I'd twist left/right to increase/decrease the value. Now it's showing all speedometer style, with half the LED's lit when I'm at 0.
Hopefully I can just dump all my MIDI mappings, start over again, and it will work as well as it did in 8.0.4.

Nope, no luck. Just tried dumping all my MIDI mappings and re-starting, still having a problem with paging between Pans, Send A, Send B, and Send C and not updating the unit's LED's. Which in turn leads to unexpected and unwanted results.
I double checked to make sure my prefs show the APC40 is turned on for track, sync, and remote. Any ideas?

i dont own an apc40 but i assume my problem is what is causing your problem
any action in live makes live dump all current midi values to every midi output
i have 150+ midi mappings in my live set and anytime you do something it sends this blurt out, which hogs up the midi output for everything
i use an external synth controlled via midi from live, if i cue a clip, this midi blurt can cause a delay in the note playing because of all the midi data being force out of live
this has rendered 8.0.5 unusable for me, luckily i hadn't deleted 8.0.4 which i am using again which does not have this issue, if anyone would like to see the midi monitor capture i would be glad to post it
