Launch Pad - it has all the bits from the APC I wanted. Very glad I cancelled my preorder (it was taking to long to arrive in my local Australian store!). Launchpad (x2 or 3) FTW! might get a LPD8 to go with it

Just got the newsletter and saw the video on this - Launchpad looks great. A couple of those in sync would be awesome! Of course, I also want the apc40, but I'm stoked they brought us another controller for launching and mixing!

That's the whole point!

On my other controlers I have 17 faders (8 motorized), 16 3/4 knobs, 48 endless encoders, 8 drumpads, 86 keys, mod & pitchbend weels, dedicated transport controls and although there's also over 100 buttons combined, they're all over the place, instead of in an intuitive grid for lauching the clips.

So why would I want to spend an extra €250 for another 8 faders & 16 knobs?
Dimensions

Unit: W = 240 mm / 9.45 “, H = 20 mm / 0.79 “, D = 240 mm / 9.45 “
2 of these would fit really nicely infront of my remote zero SL... :)

The should have called it Lauchpad 64, a lot nicer to have 3 more rows!!!!!
Launchpad supports multiple brightness level which will be accesible from Max for Live so you/someone will be able to build a drum pad thing where you can at least set velocity levels.

I Think they are both cool if your a DJ i think the APC is Better CAuse you can do two things at once. i'm getting the Launh pad too i have the ApC but more clip buttons the better. but i hate the different page to get to the mixer or pan you would need three launchpads to mimic the APC. but that being said the launch pad is much better to carry around. i think having both would rock. :P

I think, for me, the APC is more in line with what I like and how I work. Obviously, there are some small things that I would consider changing, but it is the closest fit for me.

That being said, the launchpad does look very cool, and it will be fun to see the ideas that people come up with in using it.

monome! It's the real deal (in a multitude of aspects ;)), plus the 8x8 grid is not enough for my stuff at least, want to see everything that's going on. But actually I was near to buy an APC, but I do only see use for it on stage, 2 or 3 novation launchpads should be quite useful for studio production. Don't know how the implementation works for multiple launchpads though.

Just waiting for the other brands to join the competition.

I love my (farmpadded)padkontrol, I'm sure I'll desperately love the future Korg padMatrix...
