I think the next game in the franchise will be "MIDI Controller Hero", which will have two knobs and one fader, and then there will be the "OSC Controller Hero" expansion pack which will come with a box that has a bunch of small squares and a touchscreen. But that is only for Expert mode because you have to transfer the OSC to MIDI.

Why would I pay for a game that emulates something that I have the real version of?



I'd prefer to stick with this DJ Hero setup over anything that you can buy at BestBuy...

It's bad enough that my teenage daughter idolizes Slash as a consequence of Guitar Hero. But I'm drawing the line at Tiesto!

My sister and her husband were convinced that my real life guitar playing would make me some kind of Guitar Hero prodigy . . . well, I was booed in no time, failing utterly . . . until I realized it was a game that you play with your eyes, not your ears! You have to be pretty considerably behind the beat. Well that and the fact that it sucked kept me from ever playing that again.

Unlike Live, where you launch clips ahead of the beat and it waits for the bar line!

Actually, this new DJ game might be like, just mash away at the controls, and let it quantize you to a high score!

I tried this out at BEST BUY today. They had it set up in the store. It seems fun but I can see myself getting bored after the first day of playing it.
