thanks neb! :)

i was just testing out the group features and it looks good
but i need to get back to cleaning the house
(i want to surprise me girlie with a clean house tonight :P)

i think it would be a good idea to consolidate our main web home for the texas groups.. we could provide a more active web presence, and it be a great place to network for doing texas road shows, and it would be just down right cool..

Houston People - Look for something showing up in the next few days outlining what the plans are. I figured next week would not be good with Spring Break, so expect things to start rolling the week after.

anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

who ever is taking charge in other cities contact me if you want me to convert
http://abletonatx.ning.com/
to a texas user group web site

the site is set up pretty well for it
their are forums, you can create groups, have user profiles, and set up events..
pretty much a standard social network type site

I would not mind consolidating our web efforts.

cool,
well it was easy enough to set up so its done
http://abletonatx.ning.com/

just start a profile and you can form a group for your city..
all the group leaders let me know when you have your profiles up so i can give some admin privileges..

main thing is when posting events just end it with (city)
ie: i'll be ending all austin events with (ATX)

I'm in Dallas and I know three people who would be interested. Let's meet at a Cafe Brazil or something and talk.

Did anything come about with this? What is needed to have or hold a User Group? I am interested in participating like the many of you that posted above.
