No matter how much it annoys me from time to time I still keep coming back. I guess that's as close to loving a piece of software I can do. 
I started writing music on Amiga trackers 20 years ago, and have passed through many DAWs in my time. Today I write music for fun, and edit/mix dialogue and effects for tv/film on Protools and Reaper(fx design).
Live made writing music fun again for me. I now enjoy myself fiendishly developing ideas and playing with the instruments. Living only a few kilometers(Schoeneberg) from Ableton I might drop by and buy a T-Shirt and thank them in person.
