I don't have a way to make a video. Those pics are from the dude who made the template which was shared on the Maschine and Renoise forums. Anyway, it's a really good combination of instantaneous workflow and intricate editing of Renoise and then Maschine for all the stuff that Renoise is not as good at. And since Renoise can host au/vst plugs, I can see this combo making Live pretty much obsolete.

Maschine users, here's a question. i already own a Launchpad which can only work through midi and Live. what i need badly is a sampler/ beat constructor which i can take anywhere outside and in the house without the laptop, because of the storage it can hold. thing is, i'm not too sure if i really need it; partly because of the $$$$.
i'm also considering the KP3 because of it's sampling abilities (though they're limited). best of all i already own a miniKP.
so people, what do you think? before i spend my paper on either one of those babies. the features it has which i've seen on hundreds of videos just doesn't help the temptation :p
cheers!

Hi,
can't find this, and no time to read the maschine manual:
is it possible to output different instruments form maschine in different ableton live's tracks when in plugin mode?
(i.e, routing the kick to an audio track so as to be able to route it then into a sidechain compressor in live?)
cheers!
damn I'm wanting a maschine

Yes, there are 8 separate stereo outputs possible from Maschine.

MPCs are a waste of money in my opinion compared to Maschine, especially if you also you Live. And considering you can use the Maschine hardware and nothing else even with your laptop lid closed, I'd say having a self-contained hardware is not much better. Laptop + Maschine controller is just as portable as MPCs.

8 OUTS, thanks. quite good.

I'm shipping back my C4 pro to thomann and replace it with a maschine soon as next wednesday. Shit, I'm fuckin gearlust-guy, but that's the first time I made a so big mistake (bigger that buying the first virus Ti when it was stil OS 1.0.beta...)... when I compare what can bring me a maschine with what the C4 provides for ableton users... quite nothing!!!
I watched lots of vids (god I hate these shitty hip hop videos, so crap), read ALL threads here about mascheeeeena, and yes.
I want one. I FUCKIN want a FUCKIN mascheeeeena.
and... update 1.1 is soooooo great!!! even audio export (rag and drop in the host) is a breathe! and midi control in and out, and ableton template!!
(does it work with LIVE 6???)...
God why did I compulsively bought a fuckin C4????? shit I'm really dumb sometimes

I've seen a few posts with people saying that they use the mschine with their laptop closed,
I know insomniax does the job well with macbooks, but doesn't it make the computer going too hot??
cheers

I haven't tried it any of the apps that lets you close the macbook lid because I like having the screen for certain things.

A few questions for Maschine owners:
1) Now that 1.1 is here, how easy is it to create a rhythm loop in Maschine and then turn it into a Live MIDI clip (not an audio clip)?
2) Is it possible to set Maschine's knobs to automap to Live macros?
3) What about using them as selectors for Kore sounds? Or do you need the Kore hardware for that?

It'll be easier with 1.5 which is in private beta right now. It will let you drag and drop a maschine pattern as a midi clip. But for now, you'd just have to record the midi.

yes.
3) What about using them as selectors for Kore sounds? Or do you need the Kore hardware for that?
There's a Kore template in the Maschine forum. Or just make one with the Controller Editor.
