Yeah, but show me 1 really famous person where it's different.beats me wrote:The problem is that he isn't great at either and his fame is largely based on being at the right place at the right time.
Never heard that one before, lovin it. You like parodies? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEpcjgYHE4U (though that one was actually pretty famous round here when it came out)smutek wrote: The really funny thing is that it totally reminds me of Zlads "Electronic Supersonic" video -except Zlad's video is obviously parody.

But how do you feel about the plethora of producers who have become dj's because they have had hit records in the scene. Guys who are totally not dj's but are capitalizing on their producer fame and playing records around the world.beats me wrote:I think a producer of anything successful deserves some respect and reacting to an entire genre like a 5-year-old being force fed broccoli is extremely narrow-minded. I don't like Trance for the most part but have found a workaround by just convincing myself that the Trance tracks I do like are actually Progressive House.
I respect some successful DJs but not near the level of successful producers. Without successful producers DJs would be nothing and that doesn't work in reverse.

well, i guess they're a bit like a band: a human real 3d jukebox playing the music on some form of stage for the masses to experience them in real life..maxgraham wrote:But how do you feel about the plethora of producers who have become dj's because they have had hit records in the scene. now obviously, a band plays it by hand every time. the producer-jokey is more intelligent: he made it once and just presses play. no manual fiddling everytime /joking
