gurumonkey, That's an insane story

I guess working peoples' kids would be one of the few downsides with all the insane legal issues that go along with it. Still, your job sounds rewarding and enjoyable. I'm currently looking for something that will get me out of my home studio a.k.a The Mines of Moria and into the sunlight.

help screen potential patients for clinical trials for our drugs.. currently working more on oncology stuff. basically we get tissue samples from patients that have very poor survival rates... Basically, they have nothing to lose except maybe try some of the new drugs because even though they are still in the trial phase and are not available to the market yet and have not been approved by the FDA, it might improve what's left of their life or even extend their life.. sorry folks, no cancer cure yet.. This might sound fancy and all but it's basically a deskjob with a bunch of fancy microscopes..

If I'm not doing that, I actually go in the labs and work with some of the animals. I know i might get some heat for animal testing here, but if you've ever taken any kind of medicine, used any kind of soap, makeup, lotion, whatever.. believe me, it's animal tested.. i only work on mice/rats on my end.. more advanced drugs that have a potential of going into the market are tested on higher species at contracted sites.

all in all, I should have had enough balls to pursue a audio recording degree of some sort or anything music related when i was in school instead of listening to my family telling me to "grow up and forget this music dream"..

I'm a QA analyst for a company that specializes in kids statewide testing for No Child Left Behind. Basically, I make sure that your kids have a test to take, that they take it, that we score it correctly, and that we report those scores correctly. Big business, but lots of hoops to jump through for govt standards.
