What i like about the ADK mics is next to the incredible good sound quality for the low price the fact that they have a similar general quality attitude like neumann or genelec, etc. it is a real small belgian company that totally cares about their products, you can buy a vienna or hamburg today and another one in 2 years time and you will end up with a very close matched pair, not many mic manufactures can claim that from themselfs, you can even send it in, like neumann or schoeps and the filter out a 100% match, which is not even necessary, cause the quality assurance is so tight and that in the case of ADK for relatively low money. plus i think a vienna and the brick pre amp is a match truly made in heaven for together under 1000 dollars, it leaves me speechless having worked with it.
and also a SM57 is never really a wrong choice, either.
well yeah, mics are difficult and to many to choose from... they all have their characters and particular uses.
rodes are definetely worth their money too.
it is a hard choice... maybe try to figure what, even you want a bit of an allrounder, you want to record mainly with it... and let that be the choice maker...
