I get use out of Consequence but I don't use any of the stock sounds from either plug. On the pc I would put Chordspace in front of Consequence, which in turn is sitting inside Bidule. Having the 3 outs driving different synths/samplers makes for a different experience. But I do agree, I use Thesys far more than I use Consequence.
I just switched to the mac and I don't know of any plug like Chordspace on the mac. Its definitely one of the plugs I'll miss the most.

UncleAge wrote:I made one glaring ommission and I can't tell from your screen shot because you have the synth open. Close the synth section in Thesys and you will have some options to set going down the right hand side. The first section is the midi indicators, the second is for octave and transpose. In the third section there are five ovals. Make sure the 3rd oval "Trigger Mode" is set to "Host". That will make Thesys sync to Live's tempo automatically.
[Edit]Sorry, I can't post pics from my work computer.
Yes - that was it!! Trigger mode was not set to "host"!! Suddenly everything works, and I didn't just throw away 99 euros .. (though I probably did on Consequence, based on what y'all are saying here!)

I'm Glad that worked out for you.

Maybe, maybe not. It's a tool. You still have to have the vision. I think both tools suffer from some really corny presets. However, both have some depth to them on the performance side of the equation. However, with Consequence, once you get all of that dialed in you some time wonder if it wouldn't have been easier to just play the part instead of programming it.
I'm going to start playing with Numerolgy this weekend to see if it will fit the bill. I made heavy use of Chordspace in front of Consequence on my pc and I'm missing it. If I can't find a workaround I may buy M4L and code one myself.

Let me know what you think of Numerology... very interested to get a decent honest opinion on that. Same goes for Catanya (though that's not Mac compatible til later this year I'm told

)

Have you seen Cochleor -Harmony IMPROVISATOR

Yep, let's know how numerology works out... thinking of getting a mac just for that.

Is that Harmony Improvisator VST mac compatible?

Yes. I tried the demo on my pc. Nice idea but it didn't really click with me. Honestly, I thought the demo was too restrictive. As a result I stopped exploring. Might be a great app though...

Will do. btw, assuming you are on a pc, you might get a bit of mileage from running a chain like Thesys/Chordspace/favorite vsti. You'll have to change the midi#/chord relationships in Chordspace a bit to get things to play correctly though. Fun to play around with and get different ideas.
