i guess another example would be to look at it this way:
right now, when I record tracks at home, I have the current setup:
Midi keyboard---->macbook via MAudio Uno (midi --->usb converter)
Guitar --->macbook via m audio fast track
Foot controller into midi keyboard.
Microphone ---->maudio fast track
Piano Keyboard---->macbook (I either hook it up via analog to m-audio or midi output to macbook.)
Maudio fast track (which is meh, and I want to by another with midi ins/outs and more inputs) is hooked up to macbook via usb.
When I record tracks, I am utilizing either logic/reason/ableton, to apply effects to guitar, midi keyboard, and keyboard.
I use the foot controller to enable a type of looping station for my guitar and to switch tracks and trigger.
For all of this, I am listening via headphones hooked up to the m-audio fast track...
NOW.. question is.. if I want to do all of this live, do I route the outputs to a PA provided at the club... or is there a general amp I should buy to bring myself.....(i.e. what other equipment am I going to want to bring to a small club? What should I expect them to have?)
thanks
