Would this be a better question supamonsta?

"hello, I'm new to music production and ableton, please, how do I make music that sounds like my own"?

I think putting your Macbook in the microwave on high for 1 minute will get the desired effect.

Let us know how you go and send audio samples/photos when you are done.

I think criticizing someone trying to learn, no matter how arrogant, naive, or childish they sound is just bad form.

I tend not to criticize anyone trying to do music unless they are contributing to a bad venue's habit of hiring shitty acts and not paying them yet letting them bring their friends in and drink... mix and repeat. Because those are the folks who let the club owner go on thinking that it's o.k. to treat the performers like shit, and I could go on... but

it's not the young or naive people asking young and naive questions on some forum that are fucking up the system in anyway. To bad the same can't be said for the people putting down the young and naive. tsk. :)

I'm just putting down house music, house producers, and the heinous shitehawks who listen to it.

Shitting on noobs is, indeed, bad form. Unless they're house noobs in which case it's a matter of public service to unload your colon on their hopes, dreams & aspirations.

woooooooosh!

Almost sounds like a toilet flushing.

I believe the point that supamonsta is trying to make is that their questions are so generic, repeative and asked quite arrogantly. To think that people asking these questions wouldnt be the ones to add to these "bad venues" is quite naive.

These questions are repeated so many times it isn't funny.

Also, last time I checked, this forum was on the interwebs. If some ass clown can't help himself to be self taught and type into google "How do I make a slamming house track so I get free blow and skanky club pussy thrown at me each night." Then I don't hold out much hope for their "career" in music.

No, I'm not bitter at all.

I acknowledge both the point made by yourself and supamonsta.

I think that supamonsta is being quite specific about who he is talking about. I don't believe he is talking in general terms of all people that ask questions on this forum.

Maybe supamonsta should write a post on "How to make a house beat" and we sticky it to the top of this forum.

Problem solved.

it's only that as I see it you stand a better chance converting them or at least teaching them ANYTHING if you are just cool.

techno-bro: you dude so about that blow and titty fuck i was looking for, which soundcard does have the best phase shift to get better bass wobble

You: you suck!

techno-bor: aww dude you're right, why don't I try to be more like you and do all the in and artistic things! YAY
