Can we get a years worth of use without having to bug test first please?
I would hate to have bought suite only to beta test for over a year!

about the new behaviour of the qwerty keystrokes being passed onto the plugin...
why does this happen when the Computer MIDI Keyboard is switched on? it doesnt make any sense.
attempting to play notes with the qwerty keyboard while adjusting knobs with the mouse is futile now, as the gui gets the focus so no notes are played until you reclick on the Live gui. grrr...
any chance of a behaviour tweek here? or a pref option?
'pass qwerty keys to plugins EXCEPT when Computer MIDI Keyboard is on'

This version is running fantastic. Zero problems with gigantic 100+ tracks/plugins. No more crashing upon closing the set either. Thanks

Howdy all.
Having serious problems with 8.1.4.
When loading up songs made in previous versions of live ( say 8.1 otr 7.2 etc etc) live either quits or completely shutsdown my computer. It will open up some old files and not others - cant work out the pattern of what files its gonna crash and what ones it isnt
Any other users getting serious crashing occuring with it sometimes rebooting the whole system ?
I am pitching for some media gamimg work this week and the timing is not good as i have plenty to be getting on with hear.
Should i go to the beta ?
Win 7 64 bit ultimate.
best
J

Have no idea if it will help with your problem (never experienced anything like it myself), but you won't mess up anything by trying out the beta, you can have it installed in parallel with 8.1.4 (or any other version, including other beta versions). If it works, great. If not, no harm done.

did you try to delete/rename the prefs file and recreate it - just for testing?
this had helped me when I had some strange errors /w 8.1.2 or .3 - can't remember though which one it actually was.
just my 0.02§

No i havent deleted renamed the preferences. For me its relatively time consuming to do this as i have complex midi / usb routing including 3 mackie hui etc etc.
But i will bear that in mind if other routes don,t come good.
thanks

Which other routes? If files don't load you got 3 options: Contact support and include a file you can't open, try the latest beta or delete a possibly corrupted preference file.
The last one seems like a very simple test. Copy the file, remove it from the prefs folder, try to load set. If it crashes it isn't the prefs file.

delting prefs seems to made things better...but ..
write all you settings in the prefferences down... its surprisingly many things .. not just the midi offsets...

8.1.4 crashes on me multiple times each day and requires reboot every time.
This is from a known bug.
When opening a project while another is open, it crashes. Sometimes it even crashes when closing the live set, and it also requires a reboot. About every project I open that has a solid amount of work put into it crashes, every time I close it or open a new.
Any news on this?
I know im the one to blame, pushing the quad core to 70%, but it still is annoying to reboot 7 times every day. Haven't had it like this since Cubase VST.... (.....
