(Ranked in order of worst drivers by state to best drivers by state) Scoring is from 1 to 100 on a 20 question test.

1. (WORST) New York - 70.0
2. New Jersey - 70.5
3. Dist. of Columbia - 71.9
4. California - 73.3
California could have got 4th worst based on merging alone... I learned to drive in Texas... they actually taught us to merge on to the highway at the highway's speed limit. Someone must have spilled a mass of black ink on that chapter in the driver education handbook for Cali. Fuckin people merging at 35  When I lived in Colorado (where the speed limit is 75) you could always pick out the Cali drivers... old grannys and shit would roll by waving their fists yelling "go home!". If you had the misfortune and poor timing to have to slam on your breaks behind one of these on-ramp geniuses, it was seriously 5-1 odds that the plate said California on it every time. Progressive state... yeah, except when merging.

On the flip side... don't try to use your blinker in California to indicate that you intend to change lanes. In the California driving schools the kiddos must have been taught that this means speed up NOW!! If someone actually lets you in... they're from out of state, because otherwise you take a lane.

The weather and music scene is great though 8)

I pretty much have all the same pet peeves as the previous posts about highways and such.

My biggest thing, in the burbs, is when someone at a 4-way stop - who stopped obviously ahead of you - waits until you make your complete stop before they go..

So they come up and stop and you're like half a block down, they wait until you get there and make your stop - hesitate - and then take their turn because they were there first - I think they think that I'm going to miss the stop sign and hit them  ..

most of the time I just go ahead and go, cause TBH it's quicker than stopping and waiting for them to go, and I mean, if they're gonna wait for me to fuckin stop then I'm just gonna go ahead and take the turn cause it's mine now..

That list of statistics mainly proves that the states with high population density and several highly populated major cities have the worst drivers - what a shock 8O

Hawaiis stats should improve now that 'Lost' is no longer being filmed there, with so many of the cast being involved in DUIs and traffic infractions

Michelle Rodriguez what a classy dame - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Rodriguez (read the legal issues section near the bottom).

Coming home after a football match there were hundreds of cars trying to leave at the same time, carpark was a field on a hill. Edging along slowly, me and a car that was trying to cut in front of me ended bumper to bumper. He shouted at me so I flipped him the middle finger. Mistake. The dude rushes out of his car and tries to get me out of mine for a fight (luckily I had the door locked). He kept shouting at me, so I calmly wound down the window a little bit and smoked a ciggie, blowing smoke out in his direction.

He eventually got back into his car.

Eventually, about 10 minutes down the motorway, my engine blew up, all in all took me 4 hours to get from Leeds to Manchester via a friendly tow truck. Happy days.
