Trackteam--Looks like some nice work to augment Live, thanks for the efforts in getting this to the marketplace. I just ordered it, looking forward to having a "snap-in" that makes Live all the better. All that analog, old-school goodness was too much to pass up. :D

My humble thoughts on "download or die" scenarios earlier in this thread: Since I have a fast DSL connection, my first preference would be to download, but I can certainly understand the issues around server cost, intellectual capital protection, and overall download adminstration issues. So I'm fine with waiting for the product to be mailed. Hell, I waited for Live to be mailed to me too.

I read enough positive commentary about your product (both here and at KVR) that delayed satisfaction is ok, I'm far more pleased that there is a product like this available to begin with.

Look forward to getting the package.

Thanks for the support Tom.

Being a fan of old-school and analog, Tacklebox should certainly be right up your alley! And stay tuned for some smaller, downloadable LiveFill releases coming very soon.

Let us know how you like it. Better yet, let us hear it by putting together a little song for the contest. We're real anxious to hear what you guys can do with these sounds!

Thanks Again,
TrackTeam :)

no installer

Or is the installer only for commercial use?

Cheers
there's no installer really. only files are copied to your user folder, like Live is doing. it's a redundant trick since upgrading to different Live version will mean you need to copy it manually. if you run more Live version you need to copy the files as well.

Marco, Simply not true. You could install a LiveFill today for version 4.0.4 and when you upgrade to a newer version of Live the LiveFill will work just as before within the new version. You will NOT need to reinstall or move anything manually. I'm not sure where you got this information but it is just wrong. Anyway, moving on...

Looking forward to old-school synth goodness! I'll work up a little old school diddy and sent on on for the contest.

Ever thought about doing a Mellotron LiveFill? Check out KVR, eSoundz did a Sampletank set that was excellent a few months ago. The best thing about the Sampletank set were all the presets, they were great.

Mellotron grooviness and lots of presets...how can you go wrong?!? :-)

I'll let you know how Tacklebox works out...I know it's gonna be great.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for the efforts to turn Live to Live++

i just ordered tacklebox, really looking forward to it.
glad to hear they are going to be doing more volumes in the future,
the way it installs into Live really makes it fun to work with and does indeed "turn Live into Live++" !!! That really is the best way to think of it.

shipping speed of tacklebox - wow!!!

Looking very interesting! Does anyone know how do buy it by download? And how do you pay with "an ordinary credit card" (as they say you should be able to, on the site if you click the question mark)? "Adding to Cart" only takes me to paypal.com!

i believe Tacklebox is not available by download.
only as a CD (its pretty big, all 24 bit sounds too)

Per, If you have a credit card you have to add it

You have to add it to your Paypal acct. It is very unclear on the Tacklebox site. I just ordered it.

worth every penny.

i also have beatbox. I initially had some problems with the installation of tacklebox, before they had updated the installer. I will admit it was pretty frustrating but I will say the track team people literally bent over backwards to help.

customer for life here.

When you click "Add to Cart" that should take you directly to a page allowing you to buy with a credit card or PayPal, a choice. If it does not and it takes you directly to a PayPal-only type page then that means that you have a PayPal account and it knows it because the cookie is still in your browser. Nothing we can do about that. PayPal likes people to use it if they have it. Emptying your cookies will stop that. You'll have to use a an email and credit/debit card not associated with your PayPal account. Hope that helps.

Tacklebox is CDROM only right now. See above for using a credit card. In case it isn't clear...it will still be PayPal who is processing the transaction, you can just do it without using a PayPal account. Oh, and the "?" button is an FAQ of our Shipping and Shopping policies. If anyone has questions and/or needs help from us please drop us a line to the proper email and we'll get back to you right away. Just happened to catch this on here.

Thanks,

TrackTeam :)

Thanks for the help! I found a little link on the Pay Pal page taking me to another page where you can buy with a VISA card. But unfortunately I was not allowed to buy there because I have a PayPal account (!)

I wanted to use my VISA because I have no money at my PayPal right now and it takes several days to transfer money to the PayPal account from my VISA account. By the time the money will hit my PayPal, the project that now (eventually) needs Beatbox will long be finished. Trackteamaudio needs to have a look at their web shop set-up ;-)

Per,

I suggest you contact us directly for help with our website as we don't typically conduct support on this site. But anyway, as I mentioned above you will probably need to use an email and credit card not already associated with your PayPal account.
