Yes. It's working fine now. Might be a tad bit slower than in it's prime but I'm just glad they fixed the issues. That was driving me nuts.

FWIW: I just popped the OS4.2 beta release on my 3G and its not too shabby.

nonetheless, i'm seriously considering investing in a solid bag phone with all the issues i have been having with 'smart' phones lately.

Is there anybody else in amsterdam right now? Somebody really ought to go round to djsynchro's place to see if he's alright.
