But seriously though, at the start of the show the main cop is sitting in the car talking SHIT with his partner for too fucking long. They're talking about their wives and shit. Anyway, it's that other cop who was at a camp outside atlanta (near the end of the painfully wasted 65 fucking minutes of my god damn life that this show stole from me) with his wife & kids, and some other cunts I wish were un/dead. That is the WELL GROOMED (in a zombie apocalypse?) PIG to which I refer.


Anyways, damn you for making me recall these memories whilst I'm doing my level best to forget them.

The other cop, cop B we'll call him, was at the camp outside atlanta. Cop B had a fight with his own wife over whether she should put a warning sign up on the high-way or not. Wife B we'll call her. Then she stormed off when Cop B was like 'that shit aint happenin', and Cop B ran after her. Next scene they're together in a tent/gazebo to continue the argument... she called him 'pop' as he was admonishing her for being a retard.. a reference to the shit he was saying at the start of the turd, err, show about how his wife always says he acts like her father. Then kid B shows up as they're having make-up kisses & hugs. Wife B then tells Kid B everything's gonna be oooooooooooooK.

Meanwhile, in a summary of the graphic novel this weak story was adapted from

The story centers around Rick Grimes, a former police officer who was shot in the line of duty and woke up from a coma after the world had succumbed to the zombie plague. Dazed from months in the hospital, and confused as to why he can't find anyone alive, he made his way home only to find his wife and son gone.  He packed up supplies from his station and traveled to Atlanta in search of his family after hearing the cities would be safe (heard from Morgan and Duane Jones, his previous neighbors).  When he arrived in the city on horseback, he was overcome a horde of Zombies and narrowly escaped death with the aid of another survivor named Glenn, who had been scavenging the city for supplies. Glenn took Rick back to his camp just outside of town where Rick's wife ( Lori) and son ( Carl) happen to be living, alive and well.  His partner and best friend Shane had taken Lori and Carl to the outskirts of Atlanta to wait for rescue by the US Government.  There they found a small group of survivors who believed the same thing.

Still though - I'm not convinced the wife & kid featured were Rick's. The 'pop' reference is what sold it to me.

I'm gonna watch episode 2 just to time how long it takes for someone to start weeping on screen, so I'll be keeping an eagle eye out on this riveting cheating wife plotline.
