I'm pretty excited about a synth in Live - I've been looking for a good soft synth and it's like Ableton read my mind - $149 is kind of steep though but hey
I say Tyte - I'm not into what goes on behind the scenes or what some other company does - Live is my shit yo - props to the Ableton boys for keeping up
I would like a step Sequencer for the synth

Actually I believe I did mention something about laughing, but that seems kind of beside the point now.
I really had no intention of getting your knickers in such a twist 16 bit, or attacking you or anyone else. I was inspired to reply in a rediculous fashion due to the Bill Gates comparison which I found both funny and ridiculous.
I'm sorry for making everyone so upset and promise never to to try and be funny about anything again ever...

You got a valid point that my post count is very high (in fact even highest LOL) , but if you took the time to check them out (or if you were around since day 1) , you would know that 95% of them were replies or issues of technical nature , always constructive, never no wanking ...16 BIT wrote:No offence intended Mbazzy, but your post count is very high. Poor winers ...
Im waiting for inspiration
Normally I don't feel the need to justify myself, too old for that ... just putting the record straight and resting my case ... but the quality of the forum has gone down lately ... unfortunately ...

Yep, my verdict is: OPERATOR = ROBERT HENKE'S EGO TRIP.
If Ableton as a COLLECTIVE company wants to survive, they will have to relie not only on Mr Henke's tastes.
Henke Fashist Ableton Nazis Evil Live Evil Ableton no good Henke no good Company needs to get rid of him KILL him Kill all Integreate LOGIC asap afaik

I just did what you said and an old friend of mine, Georg Bissen was one of the sound designers!! I haven't seen that guy since high school.Deadbeat wrote:" if you click on the Opertor title bar in the top left of the interface you get a cute little scrolling window which lets you know that a grand total of 4 Ableton employees and 2 handfuls of preset designers were responsible for birthing Operator..
Yo, Georg, what's up its Stephan!!
You are being a real cock 16 BIT. What a dickie thing to say.16 BIT wrote:
OMFG, why didnt I check your WWW first.
How far up Monolakes/roberts arse are you?
No accounting for unbiased responses huh!
Christ, give me a break..
These guys have done some extremely interesting, innovative and groundbreaking work together. Rather than Deadbeat being a fan as you suggest, I would venture that they are contemporaries, peers if you will, perhaps even friends.
And for christs sake, Ableton is not Robert Henkes company. Last I checked he was just a part of the team.
You can go on as you'd like about me being another fan boy. I wont argue with you. It's not worth my time. I'm buying operator this week, as a matter of fact I sold Reason to finance it. I'm psyched. There's some ammo for you.
Plenty of people have expressed their dissaproval of this product in a mature fashion. You, on the other hand, are being ignorant, childish, and a real class A prick. I don't remember you ever being like that before? You need to check your self.
I look forward to your response as I am sure it will be a meaningless barrage of insults and acusations. Or perhaps you'll put your pride to the side for a moment and realize just what an ass you've been.
Peace.

Yes folks, Robert Henke runs Ableton.
Never mind Gerhard Behles, and Bernd Roggendorf and Jan Bohl...
after all, those three have just been riding Henke's coattails all through the creation of Live, and now Operator.
Anyone that honestly believes this dosent really know very much about our friends at Ableton.
Honestly, I hardly think that Ableton has ceased production on any further Live updates to create Operator; that would be a rather ignorant assumption.
The fact is, that you "Henke conspiracy theorists" are just ranting on THE most ridiculous subject I have heard hit this forum yet.
So honestly kids, lets all just use or not use Operator as your own tastes dictate, and GET ON WITH OUR LIVES!!!

Clearly, as you have so deftly pontificated over 7 paragraphs, Operator is no mere optional upgrade, but a malicious public Id wank designed to further Robert's evil plan to monopolize the world's every technological resource and bend them to his own sadistic will...
At any rate, you've certainly made my morning. This is the funniest thing I've read weeks!

I think you misunderstood what I meant by "ego trip". An individual having an ego trip doesnt mean that he is on a cruisade to dominate the world like a villain in a James Bond movie, as you indicate in your bitter, snake venim infested reply. That would be more megalomania... but ok, English isn't my mother tongue so maybe I made a mistake...
No, an ego trip (to me) simply means that the guy thought only about himself. Read Robert's quotes again, I think it's pretty obvious.
Study marketing and realise how "unstrategic" this move was, it will be even more obvious.
I mean, Operator is no evil calculated plan. At the opposite, it's more an emotionnal project, by a guy who felt like having o FM synth integrated to Live because he likes it. Does he has the right to do that? Sure he does. But as a loyal Live user I have the right to point it out.
But ok, I don't know Robert Henke as well as you do, and Im not a fanatic partisan of my "theory". So please feel free to prove me wrong. Unlike you, oh too cool guy to write more than 2 lines on this forum, I am ready to waste some time here and discuss your point of view... that is, if you have one...
Vive le Montreal libre, esti d'calisse de crisse de tabarnak!!!!!
