User error...I didn't see the little text in the bottom right box that said to use the VST version instead of the AU version...I've got it working now. Thanks.

I'm definitely liking the plugin so far. I can see getting better and better at it the more I work with it.

It would be great if there was a moving time bar/indicator that moved from left to right on the midishaper interface. It would make it easier to make finer and more accurate adjustments.

It seems that massive and/or midishaper has issues with multiple ccs being manipulated at one time, unless I was doing something wrong again (highly probable lol). One parameter would lose contact with midishaper if I started modulating another. I ended up just using one of massive's macro knobs and assigning that to multiple massive parameters instead of using several midishaper waves.

I'm pretty tempted to get Curve now though. It would be great to have all of this in one synthesizer.

tweaking knobs, it's about time you read the manual.

Ehm.. there's no manual. But there's help texts in the software and video tutorials on our website. We'll come up with a video that shows how to automate Live's own parameters soon. Will post here then too.

By the way, is there any way to make it so that different Midishaper patches/presets/whatever can be called up using program change messages from an external midi source? I.e. be able to set it so that Midishaper changes patches along with the device it is controlling, so that the Midishaper settings always match the correct patch on the device....does that make sense? I haven't seen any way to do that in the demo version, but perhaps I am missing something. Live doesn't have any way to change it's presets with midi that I know of.

Otherwise cool stuff....really digging it.

Happy to hear that you like it!

MidiShaper does not have a built-in way to change patches; if the host tells our plugin "switch to program 7 now", then we do so. Maybe there's a way so that Live does that or that another tool sends this request to MidiShaper, but I must admit I do not know.. You can automate every parameter, maybe that helps for some cases.

Is that function enabled in the demo? When Live tells the Midishaper demo "switch to program X now", it doesn't change programs like other plugins do. :(

The demo is the same as the full version, only that it cannot load custom presets, and only one instance can be opened per song. What do you do in Live to tell MidiShaper "switch to program X now"?

Sorry it took a bit longer--I am so bad at recording videos. Anyway, I've just uploaded a video demonstrating how to automate Live's own parameters and Live's devices with MidiShaper (note that you need the latest version of MidiShaper which can output to MIDI ports).
