Got an email from Waves. Also, it seems that they will allow this promotion for some retails (they'll add their own discounts on top of the Black Friday offer). At least Waves Universe. And from their page you can see more offers:
http://www.wavesuniverse.com/7233/waves ... iday-sale/
Silver Native Bundle: $299
L3-16 Native Bundle: $249
Native Power Pack Native Bundle: $149
C6 Native: $99
L1 Native: $49
OneKnob Wetter: $19
All Signature Series Singles: $49

Be careful with waves. Just because they call it Black Friday Sales, they are not necessarily cheaper.
I've been waiting for their sales to start, because I've been looking to buy their SSL-Collection.
It's now on sale for $499,- at Waves (
http://waves.com/content.aspx?id=11880)
But at Thomann they sell it (standard) for Euro 345,-/$472 (
http://www.thomann.de/gb/waves_ssl_bundle_native.htm)
To say you put it on sale and still have it more expensive than your average retailer in your own shop is not a sale. It's a rip-off!

Waves Universe had Gold for $298. That's a no-brainer. Too bad I already have it.
Bought the DCAM Synth squad though for 79€.

it's not a ripoff...
it's well known that NI and Waves have an obligation to distributers.. never to break their price..
also it a discount for THEIR prices..
for instance.. 'waves universe' etc. will ALWAYS sell waves plugins 10% less than the waves site..at least
'waves-universe' has the ssl bundle for 375$ right now... which make thomann a ripoff

if you're into simplicity...
I've heard good things about the "one knob bundle".. (going for 157$ at 'waves-universe')
"gtr3" is tons of fun too..same price..
aside from that.. there are some very serious processors
great compressors all around (second to none imo)..great eqs...great gear emulation (also top of the line)..
except for maybe the 'noise removal' plugins.. I think all other plugins are relevant ..

And keep in mind that you need an iLok to run Waves plug-ins! - Just for the case you shouldn't own one.
Personally I like the Vintage Compressor and EQs a lot. Not sure if they'll fit your needs, as I'm not into the same music as you.

^^
That's exactly what should be the case! Waves offer a discount on their products. So they should go below the retailers price. Like your Waves Universe example.
e.g. NI offers Battery for 89,50 so Thomann lowers its price to 89,- (still cheaper than at the NI site). But NI does really give a product discount, lower than what you could normally by the product for. With the Waves SSL bundle Thomann already had the price at 345 before Waves put it "on sale" (still higher than you would've been able to buy the product on any other Friday)...
I know you are saying THEIR site, but I see the Waves site as a product site. Their products however you can buy at different distributors. They should offer a sale on their products and not as a shop.
Anyway, I'm obviously a bit disappointed and just want to give the other people at this forum a heads up, to be aware. Not just to read "Sale" and blindly buy the stuff, which they could score elsewhere for less...

I already have MPX tape and like it a lot, I think I'm going to pass this time.
I was thinking API, Classic Compressors and you made me look at the renaissance bundle, but yer I'll pass this time round
