if ur interested in checking out some new (old) wicked dubs
get hold of anything by Scientist
he started out as king tubbys trainee/electronics-fixer as a kid
and imho ended up showing the master a thing or two
The first extreme filter sweeps i ever heard were by him
cranking up a spring reverb & then sweeping the decay
Same goes with punching in extreme bass Eqs, but the great thing
with his dubs is the source tracks - he's dubbed so many beautiful tunes....

almost all albums are good but i especially love:
Scientist Meet The Space Invaders (LP) Greensleeves Records
Scientific Dub (LP) Clock Tower Records Inc.
Heavyweight Dub Champion (LP) Greensleeves Records
Scientist Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires (LP) Greensleeves
Scientist Encounters Pac-Man (LP) Greensleeves Records
Scientist Wins The World Cup (LP) Greensleeves Records
and for my $0.05 the one thing these dubby delay plugins lack
which is the reason i own a space echo 201 and a 555
is how they wig out so nicely - drive them into distortion etc
They are one bit of outboard a plugin won't ever replace, and are
seriosuly worth hunting down if dub is your thing!
There is something very musical about the way the delay switch works on them
eg u get a long delay sounding sweet & then switch the delay/playback heads
and the triplets or whatever sound great - not necessarily perfectly in time
but they just feel right...
