:D

Really nice to see it being produced again...

But the things they've added and the new form factor are ok, but what would've made me replace my existing original Pulse with a Pulse 2 is if they'd got rid of this matrix editing mode and added a couple of dozen knobs directly on the front panel... ah well... Pulse 3... NAMM 2017?

Waldorf Pulse 2 looks interesting.

As for Live 9 - Just in pure economic terms - I feel Live 9 needs to be released soon as the competition has snapped at Ableton's heels and overtook them. I know some will say wait until is completely stable and bug free (let’s be honest: this will never happen). As time goes by people’s expectations grow, Live 9 (or whatever its going to be called) will be a massive change in how we write, produce and share music (video?) which will blow the competition out of the water or a very long wait for a damp squid. For Ableton it will most likely shape how, what or if they are a company in the future.

It would be an amazing troll if Ableton showed up at NAMM, got the attention of some media, and announced that this Summer they would be releasing Ableton Live 10.

And when everyone asked what happened to Live 9, they could just say "wait a second, have you guys been using 8 for the last two years? Did we forget to sell 9?"

The rage in threads on this board alone would be incredible.

EDIT: Anybody going to be there at NAMM? I'll be there this year and it'd be fun to meet some of you in person and talk about music and Live and whatever.

Pulse 2 looks rad, though like everyone else I wish they could have found a way to improve on the matrix editor. Also, the Blofeld editor for Mac has always been a mess, hopefully there are some improvements in that regard as well.

Studiologic's Sledge looks cool, but I'm pretty sure I've sworn off hardware VA synths.

The Arturia Brute is on Pre order for $475 from NovaMusik. That's fucking crazy.

UA announced a Thunderbolt, rack mount "we'll use digital emulation to make this sound analog" audio interface called Apollo.

Looks like the new Casio synths will be pretty boring.

Lots and lots of iPad docks, including mixers from Mackie and Behringer, and at least two additions to the Alesis line (one for guitarists, one for drummers).
