I do get asked very often what I do. It doesn't help that I went into a field that most people wouldn't necessarily associate geologists with (soil and groundwater instead of rocks), even though it is pretty common.

i did geology at school - i really liked it

since 2006 i been making money freelancing as an audio visual technician, which more often than not means i reboot laptops for lawyers

and any art bits and pieces i do a offset the costs against tax which brings my costs down
