You can use Chrome script - copy it >start text edit> new>change to txt >paste the Chrome script, save it as ableton.css, open Safari preferences> advanced select the saved css.
There must be some way to make for the forum only, hopefully someone can write how to. Otherwise everything will use the css (which is not too bad, Ebay becomes more readable)
 For Safari: viewtopic.php?p=1445635#p1445635

You could also try the Chrome code from Angstrom's OP: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=185957&start=0

You're welcome, Neb & Rikhy! :)

And before the first one asks: OSX's User Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion.

 18 ways to view the ~/Library folder in Lion / Mountain Lion | Macworld Easiest: alt (option)-click the go-menu in Finder -> Library (I then would put it in the Sidebar)

Post the code of your favs (labeled Safari/Chrome or Firefox)!

I'm laughing my arse off!

Much better, and I no longer have to zoom in in order to read the text comfortably.

I don't even understand why they bothered changing the forum at all, given that they removed the link to it from their site.

^ +1

Thanks a bunch, Steve. I switching back to SRWare Iron (a chromium variant, minus Google's tracking code) and this made a huge difference!!!

BTW, those of you on Chrome, note that in the top line of code, specifically
body{background-color:#95A2AB!important;color:#43423D!important;font-weight:100!important;font-size:90%;}
you can adjust the overall size by changing that percentage at the end of that line. Steve's code has it set to 90%, which is a little big for me. I reduced mine to 75%, and that works for me.

Any such workaround for Opera? ;-)

It is so weird - Ableton always was my main example for a clean, stylish and absolute consistently used design in a companies products, website and gear.
As a designer myself, I was quite in awe how they managed to keep that one style so clean for all those years without it getting boring. Really brilliant work from whoever did it!

And now, as happy as I am with what was announced for Live 9, I come to this Site and Forum to see one of the most ugly interfaces I encountered for a while (well, the new Presonus Forum is almost as bad  ).
BSOD blue on peach with black dividers on white for a forum? Really? Outch!
A website released on the same day as Windows 8 shouting "Metro Style" in your face, although this time Microsofts version actually looks better (an absolute first for me, finding anything MS looking good and now even better than Ableton - interesting times indeed)?

I REALLY hope somebody who isn't colorblind comes to the rescue.
And I also hope this is some kind of accident and not something we are supposed to look at for long...

Thanks for the hints about custom colors guys! Really much needed :-)

Cheers,

Tom

^ the instructions in the first post are seem pretty clear, nathann.

1. Install the Chrome plugin.
2. Go to Chrome preferences and then the Stylish preference, and ADD the code that Angstrom provided.
3. Save it and make sure it only applies to sites that start with http://forum.ableton.com

I would suggest ou have copied he code incorrectly. The first tag "body" is probably messed up on your copy somehow. here it looks the same in both browsers.

Copy and paste it again
