I must be losing my sense of irony.

I couldn't tell if that song was some kind of satire I didn't quite get or if it was just a 100% serious song.

Similarly I couldn't tell if John Gordon's posts were being ironic and making fun of people who make posts like that or if those were honest sentiments.

Teh internets. I give up.

I didn't even watch the video but I just know it must suck being from that twat.. Have a beautiful day.

The sound came from the Korg Kronos (wired to the Push with midi), using one of Jordan's own sounds.

This was really great. I really enjoyed the music and video production. Jordan has been one of my favorite keyboard players for many years now. Great work Eyal!

Good job all of you - reminded me a bit of classic Scritti It's good to hear something with some musicianship as oppposed to just the usual samey knob-twiddling repetitive "grooves"

I dug the fun loving free flowing vibe you created. Especially considering the limitations you were exposed to via the specific technique you chose to do. And even after all that, it was an engaging listen

I enjoyed the video. It is refreshing to see people who actually play instruments and do something original.I don't understand why so many people feel the need to be so hostile. It's OK to not like something but why be so nasty about it? It was also cool to catch a glimpse of some of the possibilities of Push as an actual musical instrument.

And as for JR, well, I'm just not speaking to him. So cool - was he using any auto-octave wizardry (a la Geo) or just huge whammying?

And also, nice video editing? FCP-X? Synched multicam with cuts and transforms? Who did that and how?

Thank you! Well, I'm not offended. Music is always bringing up different kinds of emotions, especially if (like in this case) someone already had some bad experiences with one of the participants other works... I actually enjoy seeing people's true reactions rather than sugar coating it.

When you mention the multi voice thing, do you mean that breakdown part in the middle with the orchestral part?
I'm not sure on the exact number of tracks, but basically I think there are around 24 tracks there, some are just me and Ariel (the drummer) singing individually, some are us singing together, some are whispers, and some are us just running around doing silly things while singing. We tried also having different placements against the mic so we can make the sound 'bigger'. Eventually I even used a soft layer of some of the closed mic vocals tuned an octave down just to make the sound a little 'bigger'.

Regarding JR's solo: AFAIK, Push doesn't have that 'auto octave feature' that GEO (I was actually involved with the development of that app, as well as SampleWiz) has. So he just played really fast on the existing buttons, we used the in-key mode tuned to Db Lydian (rather than using the Chromatic mode which is more like the GEO interface).

The video was edited using Premiere Pro. Basically everything was filmed with just one camera at a time, always filming the actual performances. The only exception was JR's solo which was filmed using 3 cameras because we were just filming a very long and in depth tutorial about Push which is coming out tomorrow, I think.

Oh, and I edited that video with some help from Ariel.
