I would be using the best DAW in the world, the people's choice...
Sonar.
Sonar.
Honestly it's a great DAW, I really think there are enough hidden gems in it to keep me happy for years etc. but there are what some would consider a few crippling caveats that modern DAWs have that keep the timid away. The main one is no way to split a single MIDI track between multiple VSTs for doing things like splitting a keyboard between say Absynth for bass and Zebra for the upper keys. <-- That one I assume at least by the next upgrade will be solved. It's there I think mostly because older users don't need to do that, and MOTU haven't bothered because of that.kb420 wrote: I've always been a fan of Digital Performer's UI. Yeah, but most of Logic's instruments are unusable garbage:Machinesworking wrote:The other is Logic, DP has IMO superior FX plug ins, but nothing like the shear amount of instrument plug ins bundled in Logic, and it costs twice as much at $400 VS $199. To MOTU's credit though it's always $199 to upgrade, which is also true of Logic, and way less than the cost to upgrade 8 Suite would be for me at $299!![]()

Don't agree with that, EVB3, EVD6 are both solid. ES2 isn't bad for a stock synth, and the EXS24 has massive amounts of libraries that do that format.Samuel L. Jizzle wrote: Yeah, but most of Logic's instruments are unusable garbage:
ES1
ES2
ESX24
ESM
ESE
ESP
EFM1
EVB3
EVD6
EVOC20
These are about as useful a pair of balls in a lesbian bar.
Pfffft! You don't know what you're talking about! That guy who was nominated for a Grammy in 1982 endorses Sonar. Who are you?shadx312 wrote:There's plenty of balls in a lesbian bar; it's the penis thing that's missing...
I would be using Babya Logic Pro because it's light years ahead of any computer production software by decades, even Sonar!
Er, probably what broke my DAW cherry, Acid.
In a parallel dimension I could probably be an FL junky. It has so many cool tools at it's disposal but the interface didn't jive with me when checking it out.
I used to use Orion for most of the time but it just wasn't cutting it anymore.
Oops I forgot about Bitwait that's whassup.
A shadow. Earthly illusions such as Grammys are like grains of dust scattered through space from the wind of a moving limb, too minuscule to be noticed by my naked eyes. My reaction to human receiving an award is not unlike the cute awe from hearing a kittens first meow.Pfffft! You don't know what you're talking about! Sadly, I'm beginning to think that Dune 2 is an urban legend.shadx312 wrote:That's right I've noticed you around!
I still think the native synths and fx are excellent and it disappoints me Rich doesn't add Rewire Slave back to it /smh/
Actually, aren't you beta testing Dune 2? Sadly I have not been able to spend as much time with it as I hoped:/
