(but happy with my focusrite saffire pro 40......well....the first one already broke but the replacement seeeeeems to work...)

That will increase CPU use, so comes with a cost.

I'm having the same problems. Very frustrating. All other MOTU products I've used are rock solid.

Solved with Yosemite.
