I have it on order from Thomann. They told me (this was two weeks ago) that it wouldn't be in "until two, possibly three, weeks". That means this week or next...

Hopefully!

In the minimum requirements, they state 1Ghz .....
Thanks
hell, if you were me, you'd just go buy everything you need in one shot and worry about it later.
i just walked into the store the day i got my R5 and threw a motu traveler in with it just for good measure, so i'd suggest just throwing on a new computer while your at it. No remorse. Remorse ruins your satisfaction. Trust me, use the plastic and worry about the paper later. When you need something now, what else can you do?

Yeah that's one way of looking at it..... but not an option for me, with the current state of my finances
Anyway, the Traveler is also very very high on my list..... to replace my Motu 828 Mk1

Ok, I've jumped after all the positive comments. Picked up Session for $170 and will grab the $169 upgrade to R5. Looking forward to the R5/L5 madness.

THe thing about the traveler is that it's of course bus powered, very slim, I'd say 2/3-3/4 of a rack unit high, iirc,, and it has the footprint of a laptop... Getit? It goes under the laptop. Pretty sweet actually.

yes the traveler is very nice, aside from this reaktor thread now...it finally allows me to monitor all 8 anolog inputs at once...something ive been wanting for awhile now. Get rid of the 828 as soon as you can, i dont know if you've noticed, but it sounds like the signal loses quality in the 828. you get what you hear in the traveler(at least to my ears)

Yes that may actually be true. But how would this be possible?
And how do you know it doesn't happen with the Traveler, considering you've only just got it?

FORMAT, it's well known that the converters on the 828mk1 are archaic to say the least. Understandibly so, since the mk1 is a very old piece of gear. A lot has happened since then, and from the mk2 everything is supposedly peachy.
I much prefer the sound of my fw410 to that of the 828mk1. ymmv...

it actually looks like they don't have one yet. but you can still listen to it on the R5 player on the main page.

doesnt the 828 sound a little flat of sound after you monitor through it? just do a comparison through the 828 and then plug in your headphones into an external peice of gear, and you should hear the difference.

Hey Reaktor users-
Having trouble routing audio out of Travelizer... I threw it on an audio track, the input on Travelizer is getting signal, but the out is dead. I've been messing with the settings and it ain't happening...
Am I right to think that you can throw this on a pre-recorded vocal track and send sound through it?
When I un-highlite the effect in Live, I can hear my audio, turn it on and I got nothing.
????
Thanks
