Meh. I got upset for about 30 seconds and then reminded myself that I've been making music on Octatrack/OP-1/MPC 1000 for the past month and have never been happier. I might just keep Push and my old laptop and never update it- so in 10 years I'll have some vintage, obsolete gear/software that still works (kind of...sometimes). I'm done trying to keep up with these companies who make everything I buy from them obsolete within a year or two. If I really want to use software that badly I'll just install FL. Free lifetime updates. Oh and on that obsolete, non-updated laptop, I will keep Geist....such a good drum machine. I'll miss you Ableton. But, I'll be okay. And so will you. It was fun while it lasted. Well, it was fun when everything worked.

Wouldn't doubt it, lessons learnt from last time...
I expect the Ableton Website to go offline for maintenance then crash under demand...

But we already know all of what's in Live 9.5, the free update. We all know all of the features already.
So it's totally fine for you to just talk about it. For instance, the new browser - discuss!

So pics look like the main improvement is going to be a better screen, which makes sense - low res display aside (why they ever went with that I don't know), Push is pretty perfect hardware wise - it's the software that has always been the letdown. Hopefully they'll be making substantial software updates, and Push 1 users will see them too (with some constraints, e.g. low res waveforms).
Being fairly intimately familiar with how Push works, I can say that basically all the hard work is done on the computer, which just tells Push what to display/what lights to light up, so there's no technical reason Push 1 users shouldn't see all the same updates (unless they decide to add processing on board, which wouldn't make much sense to me). I'll be very disappointed if that's not the case! Come on Ableton, vindicate us poor v1 owners with some lovely new updates!
