Mac V. PC. Age old debate

I wanted so much a MBP15, but exchange rate went through the roof the last months and mac went up in price a lot.

So I decided to build a new desktop PC, i7 4790k, SSD, 16 gb RAm. All for less than a third of the price of MBP. So far I am super happy, this processor is a beast.

I will get MBP sometime in the future nevertheless.

I'm torn between upgrading my MacBook Pro to later model or rebuilding my old G5 into a multi-core monster machine. I've already done the calculations including board refits and while I'm under in budget what a new MacBook Pro would cost me I'm definitely well over what a 2nd hand MacBook Pro 2012 would be.

I got a 2011 MBP at a good price, but still intend to rebuild my G5 box.
