Hello all. Not posted on the forums for a while. I'm just learning the ropes with Push 2 and I've hit this wall too. A lot of my prior workflow has been chopping and manipulating samples and audio loops in session view. The fact I can't do this from the Push 2 seems like insanity.
I do, however, have a history of making Ableton do things it's not supposed to be able to do using custom scripting and MIDI translation code. It may be possible to cobble together a User Mode that deals directly with precise clip manipulation but I'd need to delve far deeper into how the Push 2 works than I've had a chance to so far.
There's also rumors of a new Push coming with Live 11 so maybe they're saving this feature for that. They've always been notoriously cagey about these things.
