- use session view.
- play that clip (the one from the image above).
- now hit stop at 1.4.3 (where pitch bend is active) not at the end of the clip!
- hit play again to start that clip from 1.1.
Restarting at 1.1.1 in this case will ignore the pitch bend parameter. It doesn't mater how the end looks. As this means Live ignores the pitch bend data in the start of the clip — at "0" — I'd call this a glaring bug!

It seems to work somewhat more reliably in Arrangement where the pitch bend data is read and applied even if you stop mid pitch bend and start from 1.1.1. Not every time though. "Chasing MIDI notes" should of course also chase pitch bend data.

The reason I don't experience this in my sessions is probably because I don't typically stop before the end, so my reset will get picked up as I let clips play out.

Ableton should fix at least that CC, modulation and automation data never is ignored. Chase MIDI should mean all MIDI and also modulation and automation.

Exactly!

Even Abletons solution:

does not help.
Inserting a breakpoint at "0" does not reset pitch bend.
We need to draw that breakpoint to a value different from "0" but small enough not to make pitchbend audible.
How could that not be called a bug??

How is that possible if you have multiple clips with different legth, loops and pitchbends to edit?

Btw, Tom Cosms Pitchbend Killer does not work here.
Sadly.

That'd be because I use pitch bend very sparingly, so very seldom is there more than one track at one time. Also, I tend to add pitch bend in Arrangement and for whatever reason most of the time Live does read the previous pitch bend "zero" value even when I stop during a pitch bend.

It's also possible that I've used some kind of automation/modulation other than MIDI pitch bend connected to pitch in my fav synths. I almost never use the native ones. I have noticed a discrepancy with some MIDI parameters. I have to get back older projects and investigate. No time for that now I'm afraid, so that'd be later.

Did you share a test case set with Ableton?

Pitchbend killer doesn't reset pitch bend when transport is stopped?
