To me, the interface is one of the best things about Live. 3d controls can be nice looking, but the extra detail doesn't really tell the user anything once they learn the graphical vocabulary of the system.

Actually, in all fairness, I would like to see the "tearaway" thing and screen presets added. That would be a nice subtle addition.

Wow, hot topic here!

Another emphatic vote for keeping the look the same. We don't need 3D knobs and gradient shading over every parameter box. No way! Why?

They are harder to see when performing LIVE. This is a live application and they thought about these things when they designed the appearance of the interface. That's also why they made the knobs with a line in the middle and a good contrast...so you can see the settings quickly in the heat of the moment.

Don't change a thing Ableton. It's terrific the way it is.
