Hope you find a great woman, but maybe single isn't so bad.
too true - that's kind of what I mean - my boy is the most inspiring thing in my world, but it's so hard to enjoy because his mother is some kind of leech like creature who lives of my energy, so I am constantly sucked dry, and not in a good way.
The worst part is my wife is a musician. She's a freekin' HIgh School band director and still is resentful of every minute I spend writing music, even if it is lucky enough to get public performance. Sheesh.
same - a singer, but somehow that means every minute I'm not making music that involves her or money is a waste of time

Oh, but if she needs me to write a part out for her jazz band, she's happy to have me around.

You may not understand any of this, cause you speak like you haven't been with a woman ever, seriously, except your mum

Forge-

You should move to New York City. There are millions of girls here. Most of them are sweet looking, and eventually you can find one that is really cool and almost sane!

It won't happen when you first move here, it takes a while to understand a New York woman... but once you're in- you're in!

My girl is really cool. Went through hell and high water to find her, but she's mine now. She's not insecure. I think that's the key. If you yourself are not insecure, and your girl isn't insecure, and you communicate your feelings... YOU'RE IN!

I think Sales Dude McBoob is right about the insecurity bit. Maybe he tells the truth about NYC as well...

forge , i understand your frustration , i am living with 4 women (wife + 3 daughters ) , for me women are a complete mistery ,
i have a feeling it's easier to levitate or reach illumination than understanding women .

Weird thread indeed. Change of Season? Fear of the turkey??? I just had the same conversation 10min ago w/ a friend!!!! And going through unsttling time w/ my GF...
:?

PS: Like somebody said: Take care of yourself first... That's the key, but I for one, have a hard time doing so, feeling guilty, but then it's kind of working these days!

The problem is if we take care of ourselves first, we're considered selfish. They always have a list of shit a mile long of things to do. I get tired of feeling guilty when I'm writing music.

I do wish I had a Sony minidisc or flash recorder. I'd like to record and use some of the noises my little one's make. :)
