what i can't understand is how such gullable people manage to get so rich that they can afford this stuff.

Just curious- - do audiophiles listen to regalur 16 bit CDs through all this gear? Or vinyl?
Many will use vinyl, but there is a format for CD that some philes can tolorate called HDCD.
