Julio, agosto y septiembre son el tercer cuarto del año... y el periodo en que normalmente nos traen una nueva versión del programa! (casi siempre a fines de julio!)
Sorry guys, I really miss writing in my language...

if the only major upgrade to live 6 is dual core support. then we must all want our heads looking at. hands up got got a dual core machine. not me.
'talk about being flipped over and done dry'.
another year another upgrade. sound familiar

I seriously doubt that v6 will be 'just dual core support'....
New instruments? Operator 2? Who knows. I'm hoping (assuming) that a full engine re-write is on the cards... welcome to the world of better CPU usage.
Full drag-and-drop for all samples, a wave editor perhaps?
edit: I quote my Ableton news email talking about dual-CPU sopport, "among other features yet to be disclosed"
Hmmm. Here's hoping for some tasty goodies when it arrives.

dont forget operator 1 was not free as an upgrade. the stuff mentioned there is not really 129 euros worth of upgrade is it. most companys would add that as an interim update/bug fix.
like i said check out the update to stylus rmx, its almost a new piece of software.
and the fact that ableton are a small company and need the cash doesnt cut it with me. live must be one of the fastest selling software packages around at the moment with all the hype. they should register as a charity. id feel better bunging them a few quid than be taken by a bunch of chancers.
i'm really not impressed with live 5. now before we even get a working product. they announce a bug fix. no problem here, but announce the new version as well. somethings just not right. they need to be careful on this one. i dont think most users are going to put up with it twice. i remember being suprised by how quickly live 5 came out - we now know why.

glad to see the ableton NAMM announcement piss and moan threads are becoming an annual event
hopefully the abe's will release some amazing new synth or promise to give us a free bug fix again so we can all talk about how shitty they are
see you all next year!

well lets just see how 5.2 does.. feb is right around an icy corner.. as for v6. dual core sounds really good..but as a dual core user def. feel that it was something that they SHOULD have implemented in v5. (remember it was an issue before v5 came out) instead of using it now as a sales argument.

yeah too right. Doersnt seem that long ago people were EXCITED at the news of an Abe release, I can understand if it's buggy for people they might want to whine, but I use Live on a daily basis and it's not ruining my life, works fine most part, and there's no way I'd want to give up all the things 5 brought

Can i just say that it seems like a lifetime ago that Live 5 was released, I got live 5 as soon as it came out, i am eagerly waiting for live 6, and we are not even halfway there yet,
4 months down, 8 to go.
Im hoping that 5.2 will be a substantial performance booster.

a new version is needed for mactel/dual core so a live 6 is no suprise really so dont get your pants in a twist, im actually happy to hear we are getting 5.2 soon. if live 6 offers something i need/pushes me to go dual cpu then it will be worth an upgrade, i suspect its only going to be bought/upgraded to by mactel/dual core existing users.

i must be confused... where is 5.1? Im presuming this comes before 5.2?!
I think its crazy that they are concentrating on Live 6, fully agree that they should put their time in to developing 5 in to a rock solid program, maybe taming the CPU issues.
