I want this in Live definatly.

But i also want the reverse

A HARDWARE controller with at least one slider that has a knob, if you can imagine that.

a knob which you can move up and down as you twist it. This would be the fuckest uppest for mangling synths in real time, with only one hand.

An X/Y pad that is pressure sensitive would be 3 variables with one finger...
Cheers Deva. Im glad someone took my suggestion seriously. Yeah more midi controllers should have touch pads.

Id still love a rotary knob on a slider.

Along similar lines, Utenzil (Mikemc on the board) uses a midi "glove" to control waaaayyyy more than 3 parameters simultaneously. Plus he is a really nice guy so he would probably talk to you about this.

kooki415 wrote:yea it would work seperately from max. with max you can compile external apps. the thing is i can get this to work really similar to live's midi learn.. (select something onscreen and twist a knob) so it could be pretty transparent in terms of working with it in live.
I would gladly accept something like this. If you are serious about it let me/us know.

YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Quoting Ableton:

"Multi-destination MIDI and key mappings. For instance, with a single knob you could open a filter cutoff, increase the resonance, decrease the feedback of a delay and increase the project tempo. All assigned parameters can be inverted and scaled to a particular range for accurate control."

This in combination with the new instrument/FX racks feature will solve all my problems, it seems!

Thanks for listening, Ableton!!!
