Good on ya Mike.
Sounds like you both know what you're doing.
I'm sure you'll both be very happy together. :D

Come to tropical Queensland, in Australia. We've got kangaroos, crocodiles, snakes, koalas, sharks, spiders and a prime minister who's almost as conservative as George W! :)

Seriously though, it's beautiful up there (it's the north east corner of Aus, Melbourne is the south east). Airfares are expensive though....

I just wanted to say that times are changing, just a couple of days ago my girlfriend proposed to me too. I'm a yoyo and phi enthusasiast, (hence the name) and she got me a forged aluminum yoyo (called "phi 1.618" since it was designed with phi proportions) and engraved on it: I phi u. I cried like a girl.

What a great story! Thanks for sharing. As you can see from the overwhelming support, we all wish you the best.

I've been married for almost 8 years (together for 11). It goes thru ups and downs, but at the end of the day, if she's your best friend, you can get through anything. Oh, and if you do a final accounting, it's usually more ups then downs...many more.

Please do send us pictures!! Given the intricately planned proposal, I'm fully expecting bride-zilla to put on a good show :)
