It's mainly little boys who watch to much South Park, live in a predominately gay community and play with their PSP's at dinner...
actually, i would amend that to say little boys who DO NOT live in a predominately gay community. it's mostly little straight boys who would get bitch slapped for talking that sort of shit in the gayborhood.
Honestly I've said it myself.
Yes, it's lame, but women have been calling each other bitches for decades now. language is a funny thing, my guess is at least half of the people who say something is "gay", as in bad, aren't even homophobic, just subject to the anti-PC backlash that has most people not questioning using words like gay to describe something as bad, telling somebody they throw like a girl, or dance like a white guy, or drive like an asian etc. You work in the blue color trades, and you hear much worse than that, and mainly as a joke, to get you riled up, because men think it's funny to push buttons sometimes.
Nobody even bothered to question if the first poster was homophobic, and personally i could name at least three gay people I've known who used that term to say something was bad. None of those three were particularly self loathing, just really loose with language, with black senses of humor, and punk/goth/metal types.

Casio Rocks hard. There is even a genre called "Casiocore" now.

I had 2 CZ-101s they are easy to program, can't remember ever getting a world-shocking sound out of them though.

This month I bought an SA-1 (about the size of a large tootbrush with microkeys) and an SK-1 (the 8 bit sampler).

The SA-1 has 6-bit sound when it plays one voice, the volume control is digital, so when you turn it down the resolution is even lower!
If you don't know what an SK-1 is you must have been hiding in a (the?) closet in the 80's :D

And mine are about to get BENT too! Circuitbent that is.
-> The demosong on the SA-1 is "Wake me up before you go go" by Wham!
-> The SK-1 was also released in pink plastic (also sometimes called "the Barbie model").

So tell me something I don't know!

that's all fine, but it doesn't make it any less annoying.

things like that all depend on context and who's saying them. It's hard to have that context in written word.

some black people might call each other n....., but how does it sound to them when a white person they don't know says it??

You can do a search for SK-1 Circuitbend (or "bent") there are quite a lot of mp3's on the net.... it will give you an idea, although it doesn't compare to playing with it yourself. Sound is really hard to describe with words... It glitches, growls, voices turn to vocoder-esque robots, some things start looping and sound really techno. Some stuff is really inharmonic, and some stuff is really fat and flanging... It's very random you have to keep recording to audio and not always 4/4 but that's where Live comes in to restore some order to the chaos.
