saw them in nyc the past two times they have passed through and both shows were totally different and totally amazing. Amina is brilliant with the saw playing and synths and such. the are all truly amazing musicians.

iceland in the winter is my favorite. we were there for 4 days and it was the most amazing weekend ever. the scenary and the air makes so much sense with their music.

anyway- the Bjork song is "all is full of love" and it was directed by Chris Cunningham who has a slewwww of amazing videos under his belt.

the sigur ros video for untitled 3 i think it was with the kids playing outside was pretty beautiful and haunting as well. used to be on iTunes but you prob have to pay for it now.

Kronos Quartet played a Sigor Ros song when I saw them live about six months ago. Was well de la wicked..

Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Glad you liked it. Sigur Ros has consistently put out some great great stuff...I highly recommend their albums. Start with Takk, their latest on (from which the video was made) and then move on to the others. Great music fora variety of situations: driving, drinking alone, funerals, etc... :)

I have heard of them for a long while now but they are one of those groups I have never gotten around to listening to.

I will definitely be checking them out.. I loved it, very powerful video, great thing to watch first thing on a Sunday morning! Thanks.

ps. I don't think they commited suicide. If one of them had not fallen then yes, maybe I could see that.

I don't know, for some reason it reminds me of the book jonathon livingston seagull.

Takk is really bad. The only good song that even sounds like the Sigur Ros ive been a fan of for years is the one in the video. Really dissapointed overall. That one song is excellent though.

I agree on the non-suicide thing.

Regarding Takk being really bad...I couldn't disagree more. The band has made it their mission to experiment and try new things. They are unafraid to be quiet and moody and dark, and they're completely unafraid of wall of sound. I find Takk to just be another experiment in shorter songs, more upbeat moods, and overall epic songs with big climaxes. I fully expect something completely unexpected the next time around from these guys.

Again, just my opinion...I certainly respect yours :)

I, too, am a butt-jiggling enthusiast. However, I'm really tired of any semblance of what MTV calls a "video" these days.
