I saw Rahzel a few years back - the beat, the bass and the vocals at the same time? Shiyit... Never seen anything like it in my life!

There are loads of cats doing it now - incl. Killa Kella and Kid Beyond. That is some skill and I applaud anyone that can pull it off...

Deadlykungfu - why are you defending Kid Beyond so vehemently? It doesn't sound like you're that big a beatbox fan if the first time you'd heard the beat/bass/vocal technique was when KB did it...

great video, but regarding technicalities you can do it easily with most if not all VJ softwares, in real time. So no need for editing for hours like someone said.

word, Rahzel from the Roots is mind-blowing--I saw them live a year or so ago, and was diggin the turntable action and scrathing, only to realize half way through that there was no turntablist and Rahzel was doing it all with his mouth--I was floored. Also, there's a guy I've seen beatbox with Spearhead who is also kick ass.

Thanks Kid!!! Sadly I broke my ankle really badly about four weeks back and had to have nine screws and a plate put in, and am pretty immobile. I'm bummed, I had seen a flyer a few weeks back and knew you were coming to town, and was very much looking forward to seeing you in action. Good news is that I'm moving to San Francisco in August, so I reckon I'll get to see you do your thing in the bay area. Thanks so much for the offer, kick some ass tonight for me! I know the crowd here will dig your stuff!

A few years back, my bro jumped off a bridge into a river out by austin. 3 other guys jumped before he did, nothing wrong... when he jumped, he must have hit a shallow spot, and it shattered his heel into 80 pieces or so... He had loads of screws and synthetics in there, up on the couch spacing out on codeine for a month... he was miserable. Hope you are okay Quandry. Keep that shit elevated, hope it heals fast and well/

Thanks so much. I managed to do this skateboarding--people over 25 should not skateboard! Its been 5 weeks now, still pretty much laid up in bed, trying to keep up with my schoolwork to graduate with my masters in architecture in three weeks! Most definitely keeping it elevated and iced at all times and taking whatever pharmaceuticals they give me. Hope your bro is okay. Fortunately, I should heal completely, and thank God I didn't hurt my hands, which are crucial for bass playing, drawing, and computer work. As crappy as this situation is, I count my blessings thinking of how much worse it could be.

Yeah that's Radio Active. He's a great guy. I think he is from Boston. He can do some great voice impersonations too. Great Louis Armstrong.

It's cool to see someone else appreciate Spearhead. I miss his old sound but they all have much respect from me.
